Death Conspiracy Theories.
"While Marilyn represents everything that is glamorous about Hollywood, the disturbing story of her private life equally represents everything that is dark in Hollywood. Her death, at the young age of 36 is one of the first “mysterious celebrity deaths” in popular culture. While many facts point to a murder, it is still classified as a “probable suicide”."
The death of Marilyn Monroe shocked millions around the world and still remains a mystery to most. Although obituary ticked claims she committed suicide, many of her close friends and fans cannot bring themselves to believe that is what really happened. Many theories about how she died linger; however, the most common belief is, in fact, suicide. Other facts, however, seem to contradict these assumptions.
"The problem with this theory is that too many forensic facts are at odds with it, unless one can imagine Marilyn making up a barbiturate enema and administering it to herself. Quite a number of forensic experts have discarded the suicide theory as inconsistent with the facts."- Rachael Bell

Accidental overdose?
" If, in fact, Marilyn died from a rectally-administered barbiturate enema, the question is who prepared and administered it? It is not out of the realm of possibility that the overdose was accidental. " - Rachael Bell
Death conspiresy number 1, the death of Marilyn Monroe was an accidental overdose. Marilyn Monroe was no doubt a troubled girl and had mood swings and break downs regularly. She had been taking Nembutal - a drug used to help her with her lack of sleep issues. Two different doctors were contributing to Marilyn Monroe's perscriptions. Dr Greenson and Dr. Hyman Engelberg were working on weaning her off of Nembutal because it was negativlely affecting her. They were subsituting Nembutal with chloral hydrate at the time and failed to communicate properly with eachother. "Chloral hydrate significantly slows down the metabolism of Nembutal, but Greenson did not know that she had been taking Nembutal and Marilyn did not realize that Nembutal and chloral hydrate interacted adversely or she probably would have admitted to Greenson that she had taken Nembutals."- Rachael Bell In conlusion, the lack of communication between Dr. Greenson and Dr. Engelberg caused them to allow Marilyn to take two drugs that if taken together, would eventually kill her. |
The arising issue with accidental overdose is if it was an "accidental" overdose, why did she take 40+ sleeping pills? Or if the two doctors prescribed her an abnormally high amount of pills, why didn’t they admit to the mistake?
"Dr. Robert Litman, a forensic psychiatrist involved in the 1962 investigation says that Marilyn liked the feeling of being under the influence of the sleeping pills." She was troubled and it was inevitable that she would eventually use drugs to escape the difficult times. On her autopsy, it stated that she died from an overdose. "The official cause of death was a barbiturate poisoning due to an overdose. But besides the level of drugs found in her blood and liver and the pill bottles found at the scene, there was no clear evidence that Marilyn actually swallowed the pills." She might have put the substance into her blood system in a different way, or someone else could have done it to her. "The official time line was noted first. On August 4th, a sweltering hot day in Los Angeles, at around 5:00 PM Marilyn Monroe's psychiatrist, Dr. Ralph Greenston, leaves Marilyn's house after another session to treat her depression. At 7:00 PM Marilyn's housekeeper, Eunice Murray, overheard her taking a call from the son of her ex husband Joe DiMaggio. She said Marilyn sounded upbeat. Sometime between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM Marilyn receives another call, this time from President Kennedy's Brother-In-Law, Peter Lawford. He invited he over for dinner but Marilyn sounded incoherent and declined." "Marilyn had ingested a large number of sleeping pills it would be natural to find residue of the pills in her stomach. But all the Medical examiner found in Marilyn's stomach was about 20cc, or about three tablespoons, of a brown liquid and no pills. But might the liquid itself contain microscopic particles of the pills? But Dr. Nagucci performed that test and it was negative." "But when the toxicologist analyzed her blood and liver he found a large amount of Chloral Hydrate and a massive overdose of Nembutal, a powerful barbiturate sleeping aid. Why then was no drug residue found in her stomach? The toxicology should have resolved all issues about her death but something went wrong." |
