Marilyn Monroe was a very exciting individual. I chose to research Marilyn's life because I find her very interesting. Many people do not really know the real Monroe. They just think of her as a promiscuous girl who happened to fall upon fame. She was much more than that. I chose to make a webpage because I thought it seemed the most fun to produce. I did not want to write a paper because I wanted to use visuals. When I researched the information on Marilyn Monroe, I basically just looked up any interesting facts, as well as the substantial facts about her life. I researched the various relationships she had with the people in her life. I tried to look at as many different sites as possible when I was researching her death because many have different thoughts about what actually happened. Her death caught the most of my attention because it was just so interesting to read about the different theories that could have occured. I created the webpage outline by adding picture boxes and title boxes. I then used the template to begin brainstorming what information I wanted to put where. I placed pictures of Marilyn Monroe on the home page accordingly. I wanted to make the home page expecially appealing in order to "hook" the reader. I started with the "News" section first. I orgainized the researched materials in a manner that would allow the readers to easily flow through the page. I used catchy headlines in order to pursuade the audience to continue reading. The "Marilyn Was A Marvel" tab was created after because it was the most fun to make, and I was getting tired of working on the "news" sections. The news was by far the subcategory that held the most information because of the many different consperiousy theories and explainations that were needed. " I produced the "About" and "Childhood" pages following. I developed them together because the information that I collected went hand in hand with eachother. I created the basics in each tab first, but throughout the production of the webpage, I jumped back and forth from category to category to avoid becoming overwhelmed by one topic at a time. This strategy allowed me to eleminate any unsatisfactory work due to becoming bored or tired. I added pictures and color boxes last to spice up the appearence. I added the "videos" and "Rights & Responsibilities" tabs last because they were the most visual. I also played with different fonts and colors when I was finished with all of the pages in order to make the over-all webpage more fun to look at and read. Finally, I created the Citations page.
